Frequently Asked Questions

If it's your first time booking a band, you're certain to have lots of questions! Below you can find a list of the most common questions about booking a band.  If you can't find what you're looking for, please feel free to email us.

The Performance

What time will the band arrive?

We usually arrive and setup 3 hours before our performance.  For evening weddings,, this means we are ready to setup at 5pm and ready to perform for your march-in at 8pm.  We always setup and sound check before guests arrive.

How long does it take the band to set up?

We tend to setup in about 2.5 hours. This will vary depending on the size of the band and event.

How long will the band play for?

Every performance are tailored with different options. For Weddings, you can expect 3 x 45 minute sets.

Does the band provide music between and before sets?

Our professional engineer are happy to provide music via an iPod between sets. If you have particular songs in mind, you're also welcome to create your own iPod playlists which can be played through the PA system.

What will the band wear?

Our band usually dress smart in suits or shirts and trousers.

Will the band require refreshments?

Neo Music request that the band is provided with a meal and drinks at the venue,, usually after they've set up. Most musicians will leave for the event mid afternoon and will often arrive home very late so a hot meal is always greatly appreciated.

Do you provide the PA system/Sound equipment?

While there are certain venues that use state-of-the-art sound systems for live music, many do not.  We encourage you to share the venue with us so we can assess the venue for you.

We have a range of sound system and band equipment to suit different sound requirements.  How we sound is extremely important to us, and that is why we ensure we have state-of-the-art sound system for our band.  For instance, we use one of the top keyboard Roland Jupiter-80 for our pianist and Yamaha Maple Customs for our drummer.  We are using brand new QSC K12 12" powered PA speakers. We are continuously upgrading our instrument and equipment, and we have recently ordered the newly released top professional mixer QSC TOUCHMIX-16 from the United States.

We will fully liasise with the hotel/venue regarding the necessary details so you won't have to worry a thing.

Booking a band

How do I confirm a booking?

If you would like to book a band, we will need your contact details along with the date and venue address. We will then send over a booking agreement which need to be signed and returned to confirm the booking. A deposit of 50% will be required, this is payable by bank deposit or cheque.

Why use a company?

When looking for entertainment for your wedding day, party or special occasion, it's important to know that the band you've booked is going to be experienced and professional.

Searching the net can prove exhausting and you can never be 100% certain of a band's credentials.  An entertainment company like our own provides quality musicians with a proven track record ensuring that your event runs smoothly.
